This cover mom isn't just surviving motherhood; she's slaying it, one impeccably chic outfit at a time.
Camile readily admits her daily life is a wild mix of chaotic, super routine, but also totally unpredictable. "Some days I honestly feel like I don't know myself anymore, and coffee definitely isn't enough, lol!" she shares with a laugh. It's a constant juggle, for sure, but it’s also a life she intentionally built. Like most working moms, Camile knows there’s no such thing as "perfect balance." But over time, she’s figured out how to make it work in a way that truly feels right for her and her family.
For Camile, that journey began with a clear choice. Coming from fast-paced industries like advertising, marketing, and events, she knew she wanted to be more intentional with her time once she became a mom. She yearned to be present for her little one, to soak in all those precious moments. Yet, she also didn’t want to let go of the parts of herself that truly love working, creating, and collaborating. The solution? A work-from-home setup that gives her the best of both worlds.
So, how does she actually pull it off? "Structure is key! Seriously, my Google Calendar is my best friend," Camile reveals. She smartly plans her work around her toddler’s schedule, tackling deep-focus tasks early mornings or evenings, and batching similar tasks whenever possible. This kind of setup thrives on understanding, and Camile is grateful to be part of a company that offers incredible flexibility and support. "That kind of trust means I can show up fully as a mom and a creative, without feeling like I'm constantly being pulled in two directions," she explains.
But no one does it alone, especially not a working mom. Camile's secret weapon? Her incredible support system. Both her mother-in-law and especially her own mom are incredibly hands-on, often stepping in when extra help is needed. Without a full-time helper, their support means everything. And then there’s her husband, who truly shows up for their family. Whether it's ensuring Elio always has clean bottles, picking up household responsibilities, or stepping in so Camile can catch her breath and take care of herself, his partnership keeps everything together. "His presence and partnership help keep everything together, especially on the days that feel like too much," she shares. It’s not perfect, she admits, but it's purposeful, and that's what makes it sustainable.
Recently, a new chapter began when her toddler, Elio, started playschool. "Honestly, this transition hit me harder than I expected!" Camile confesses. Even though she's with him every single day, it still caught her off guard how fast he’s growing.
Sending Elio to school wasn't initially in their plans. Camile and her husband believed in letting him enjoy his early years with lots of play, exploration, and curiosity. But they noticed he lacked playmates his age. Elio’s natural curiosity and observant nature made them realize he’d benefit from being around other kids—to socialize, mimic, and learn through play. So, they explored playschool, and it's been a game-changer. They’ve already seen small, positive shifts in Elio; he's starting to follow routines and pick up new interests.
For Camile, it meant new adjustments: early wake-up calls, packing two bags (Elio’s and hers, so she can work in a café after drop-off), and even learning to drive. And, of course, the classic mom moments, like forgetting school announcements or realizing at 10 PM that he needs to bring something the next morning. But slowly, it’s all falling into place. Elio's finding his rhythm with school, and Camile's finding hers too. "Now I have a reason to actually dress up instead of just wearing my home clothes, haha!" she quips.
Her Secret to Feeling Like "Me"
For Camile, fashion and beauty have taken on a new, deeper meaning since becoming a mom. "Now, it’s become less about looking good for other people and more about just feeling like me," she explains. These are her little anchors, helping her hold onto her identity outside of motherhood. There’s something truly powerful about putting on an outfit you love, even if it’s just for school drop-off or working in a café. "It reminds me that I'm still her—you know, I'm still me!—a creative, a woman with style, someone who actually enjoys the ritual of getting ready."
She used to think she had to tone things down as a mom. But in reality, experimenting with clothes or doing a quick "face beat" has become a form of self-expression and self-care. It’s not about being perfectly polished all the time anymore; it's about those small moments of feeling good in her own skin, even amidst the chaos. A halter top for drop-off? Why not. A bold lip to hide the under-eye bags? Absolutely. "It’s my quiet way of saying, 'I'm still here, and I've still got it.'"
Camile's daily life as a working toddler mom is a blend of purpose and reality. "Some days are total wins, some are wild! But all of it is part of this season I'm in," she says. She's usually up by 6 AM to squeeze in quiet work and early meetings. If it’s a school day, she preps Elio, and then she and her husband drop him off before heading to a café to focus. If Elio’s home, she works until he wakes up around 8 AM. Then, it's a rhythm of play breaks and work sprints.
Lunch usually involves leftovers or ordering in. After a bath and a shared meal, it’s back to play for Elio and more tasks for Camile. When he naps, that’s her golden hour for deep work—no distractions, just her and her to-do list. After that, she tries to rest, then fits in chores or cooks if she has the energy. Evenings are for winding down, toddler giggles, and sometimes catching up on unfinished work. "It's far from perfect, but it's real," Camile shares. "And honestly, I wouldn't trade it for the world."
Camile Bansil is more than just a style inspiration; she’s living proof that you can conquer motherhood without sacrificing your cool. She’s making us all believe that even amidst the toys and tantrums, you can still step out feeling totally put-together and effortlessly chic.
Perfume. Always! I keep a little atomizer in my bag like a true mom hack.
My phone, of course. For work, and 462 Elio photos daily haha!
