The evolving digital space allows this gorgeous mama to achieve her passion for content creation whilst staying at home with her little one. The Mommy Weekly Magazine sat with Mom Content Creator, Krizza Matias to chat about what life is like as a stay-at-home mom and pursuer of dreams.
"Honestly, I did not plan on being a content creator. As a first-time mom, I just love sharing my experiences, and I love connecting with other moms online. They became one of my support systems in my journey to motherhood."
Krizza shares that despite how easy things may look, balancing her life as a mom, creating content, and meeting deliverables for posts, all while handling their family business can be pretty challenging.
"It's really hard to manage time especially if you have a toddler, so I usually work on my content during her nap time or after bedtime."
Some days, Krizza finds herself stressing to get the perfect shots so she can deliver quality content to brands that she works with, doing voiceovers with a lot of energy - takes up a lot of her energy too. And even editing nice videos takes up so much of her time. She finds that doing all these while taking care of her little one is quite difficult but Krizza pushes through every time because achieving her dreams and pursuing her passion as a mom is well worth it.
There were times when Krizza was tempted to deactivate her social media accounts and just quit - due to lack of sleep, exhaustion, and creative burnout. But as they say, comfort is the enemy of growth, and moms like Krizza show us that resilience and strength are two things that moms possess in abundance. We don't just give up, no matter how hard things may seem.
What helped her cope with the burnout was meeting fellow mom content creators who became her friends - these moms get 'it' and became incredibly supportive in her journey.
"We share advice, ideas, and sometimes even just a good laugh about all the chaos of motherhood."
Another thing that Krizza is thankful for is the amount of blessings she receives through content creation.
"I get to earn money and receive free products for my kid, it feels great too to share my honest opinions and recommendations with other parents."
So while it can be a real challenge to balance everything all at once and wear many hats, Krizza wouldn't trade this life for anything else as she considers this as a big blessing to her and her family.
"I think it's all about finding a balance that works for you and your family. It's okay to take breaks when needed and not put too much pressure on yourself. Remember, being a mom is your number one job, and everything falls into place around that."
